I started working in 1982 for the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCARRD) as an Information Officer. As such, I was assigned to write, edit, and produce communication materials, such as, print (leaflets, newsletters, proceedings, books, etc.), broadcast (radio releases, radio clips, etc.), and audio-visual (sound-slide, power point, video productions, etc.) materials. I was also given assignments, like writing speeches for the directors and executive director of the company, proposals for local and international funding, letters, memos, among others. Since then, I was promoted to higher positions that included management of projects and programs. These included being assigned to the position of unit manager, assistant director, and, later, acting director of my division, the Applied Communication Division (ACD) of PCARRD. After retiring from PCARRD, I taught English at the University of the Philippines Los Baños for three years. I also did part-time work for a Korean
company as its online editor/proofreader. Right now, I am looking for an online job that will make use of my talents and skills in writing and editing.
