Profile Description

-Monitor server and services' availability and performance through an effective monitoring tool
-Provide technical support for Level I-III issues via helpdesk and telephone
-Provision Linux Servers manually or use Chef in Cloud-based environments (AWS/Rackspace)
-Configure Load Balancers, DNS, Backup and other cloud services
-Drupal/Wordpress Website and server migration between providers (eg. GoDaddy, Cpanel or Local-hosted)
-Troubleshoot with developers on Drupal site issues (eg. smtp, Broken images, Internal Errors, Performance)
-Stand up Drupal sites
-Manage Github repositories and access
-Monitor Backups (MySQL, OS Image/Snapshots, R1Soft)
-Provide fellow system administrators and support representatives with technical support and guidance
-Install, configure, and maintain services such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL, Memcache, Postfix, Varnish, PHP, Debian and Centos servers
-Ensure office Network, Internet, and other Devices are working.
-Respond to alerts, Server support is 12x7
-Security Administration and compliance
-Monitor telecommunication network links availability, performance and escalate related problems to respective vendors
-Monitor more than a 100
production servers' availability and performance through an effective monitoring software
-Perform Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual and Annual Datacenter checklists
-Provide uninteruptable power supply to all Datacenter equipment and servers
-Effectively provision new servers (physical / virtual) be it Unix-based / Windows
-Perform server hardenning on Linux and Windows systems
-Resolve issues and manage user accounts on Active Directory
-Troubleshoot network related problems
such as firewall access, routing, network congestion
and flapping
-Ensure hardware servers and devices operability
-Ensure DataCenter compliance by adhering to ISMS policies (ISO 27001)
-Understands BCP and security policies as defined under ISMS (ISO 27001)
-Facilitate Structured Cabling Projects (Cat5e, Cat6, Fiber Optics)
-Racking and cabling management
-Maintenance and monitoring for Datacenter servers and devices
-Secure web traffic by implementing first-level security solutions through redundant email-gateways and proxy servers
-BlackBerry user management and troubleshooting
-Lotus Notes account creation & configuration
-Manage Lotus Domino servers
-Lotus Notes Database and ACL group Management
-Install, replace, configure Wireless Access Points through a controller-based management
-Create, delete, update DID numbers
to serve VoIP telephony clients
-Provide OJT/interns with industry experience on technologies used
-Research on new hardware and networking
technologies that can help reduce cost, provide efficiency and security
