Profile Description

I used to work as a customer service representative for an international travel company. My job includes booking, confirming, changing and/or cancelling flights. I was also trained to reserve hotel accommodations and car rentals for customers and speak with airline staffs and hotel staffs to confirm, change or make special requests for customers.
My most memorable call would be a customer who stands to lose $5000 worth of flights. All her flights where cancelled because of a wrong booking made by a travel agent. She was irate at first (who wouldn't be?) but I assured her that I would do anything I can to help her. It was a very long call with me calling various airlines asking them to help me reinstate her flights. After 1 and 1/2 hours, I was very happy to tell the customer that she can
book her flights anytime that she wants, she insisted that she wanted me to book them so that I can get the commission but since I'm a customer service representative and not a booking agent, we don't get commissions (oh, well) but I booked her flights anyway. Just to make sure that she get the correct reservations. The customer was very happy and I was happy too because I was able to help her.
I want a stable job that lets me help other people solve some of their problems using my skills as a customer service representative and a virtual assistant.
