I'm a licensed Civil Engineer but I have spent most of my time managing family business. Due to the economic downturn of our country we were forced to close our business and find alternative sources of livelihood. I tried several options but due to the poor employment opportunity in our country, I wasn't successful on finding a job locally. Then one of my friends introduced me to online job opportunities. I worked as an assistant for a fellow Filipino who is also working online. I took data entry projects, mostly those involving copy and paste tasks (e.g. PDF to Word, Word to PDF), uploading files to a hosting account via FTP, installing Wordpress sites (basic install only), article writing/editing, basic photo editing using Photoshop, and organizing schedules and projects. I know how to use tools needed for online work such as Skype, TeamViewer, Google Docs, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Dropbox.
I believe I have an above average IQ since I passed the Professional Licensure Exam in Civil Engineering. I'm also a passer of Philippine Civil Service Exam. That said, I'm very confident that I can learn fast given minimal guidance and instructions. I have lots of common sense and I can work with minimal (or without) supervision from my employer.
I have my own computer and fast internet connection (10MBPS) in my own private room where I can work quietly and without disruption. I'm willing to work any hour of the day but I prefer to work during daytime, Philippine time (GMT+8).
Having the time flexibility, security, and the convenience of working from my own home is what attracted me to this type of work arrangement. I can attend to my family and at the same time earn my living online.
