Profile Description

My name is Gilmer Ramos, a young lad aged 27 from the Philippines. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing last March 2008 and is a registered Nurse here in the Philippines. I have had my first job as a nurse at MCDGH a tertiary Hospital here in Lucena City, Quezon Province but due to the need of a better salary, i was one of the many who was lured by shifting profession as a Customer Service Representative, i have been in that industry for some months before my student visa was issued for the United Kingdom. Last November 2010 i decided to leave the country and study abroad with work placement. I have finished BTEC Health and Social Care and was given a placement job as a healthcare assistant working in a nursing home starting 5 days after i arrived in the UK till the month of March 2014.
This experience had given me a chance to enhance my English language skills, especially with communicating in English. I also had my English competency tested through IELTS or the English Language Test System with a 6.5 band score. I have been placed in many situation wherein i have to converse in English and to try and explain about different things like conditions of patients and their dispositions. Communicating with health professionals like paramedics, nurses, doctors and other health care professionals involve in patients care.
