Profile Description

From the age of consciousness, I have committed myself to pursue excellence in all my endeavors. Having graduated on top of my class as its Valedictorian in senior high school and consistently in the roster of the Dean’s Honor List in college, I understand the need to work harder to be able to give my best to those who believe in and rely on me.
I took up Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with the end in view of pursuing a law degree. Eventually, I have learned to love the discipline that is Political Science and was able to come up with academic papers and articles on the same. When I left the university, I first worked as a Research Assistant for De La Salle University Manila Political Science Department. After a research project was completed, I transferred and worked as an Administrative cum Accounting cum Logistics Assistant for an IT reselling company where I was in charge of issuing and monitoring sales invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders of the company. Likewise, I oversaw the daily inventory of the company, receiving and sending out IT products based on their delivery schedule. I employed a new inventory system that allowed the company to better monitor orders and deliveries made in a day. Eventually, I was assigned an additional task of working with the Marketing Department to update and improve company presentations, brochures, and even the company profile and website. 
During my work in the IT reseller company in the Philippines, I got a job in the Philippine Red Cross and I have been working here for almost 5 years now.
Over the course of my engagement with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), previously as an Executive Assistant in 2014, and currently as a Technical Officer, I learned not to accept anything beneath the threshold of excellence, to admonish mediocrity, and to dismiss excuses to not be good enough. As the Technical Officer of the Office of the Assistant Secretary General for Program Development and Services of the  foremost humanitarian organization in our country, I assist the office, as an understudy, in overseeing the various services of the organization by providing technical assistance to these offices and handling various programs and projects. Among the projects I handle is the acquisition and operation of the of PRC's 6 Million USD humanitarian ship, the M/V PRC Amazing Grace, which is a catamaran vessel that can land on beaches and on ports to deliver humanitarian aid to communities affected by disasters. Although I did not have any knowledge on maritime procurement and/or management, I went out of my way to learn everything that I had to know until finally the PRC was able to procure the said humanitarian ship. I have also been involved in various management responses to various audits conducted ensuring that the organization is cleared of any liabilities whatsoever. Likewise, I provide technical review to all correspondences, proposals, and memoranda for approval of PRC Management. Recently, I have also taken over the monitoring of the development of PRC Manuals on Policies and Procedures to ensure systematic and efficient service delivery. I also contribute to the organization's communication system by preparing articles, social media posts, and info-graphics. 
Ever since I was employed in the Philippine Red Cross in 2014, I have been promoted at least 6 times and have never been absent for work. Everyday for the last 5 years in my current work, I have studied and worked relentlessly to be able to deliver everything that is required of me and I think that I have proven to others and to myself that I have developed the right work ethic to prepare me for any responsibility regardless of magnitude or timeline. I have learned not to just let things happen but to make things happen and if I am given the opportunity to work, I will do my best to make things happen.
