I have been working as a customer representative for 2 years during my college years way back 2001-2005 as a part time job in Nestle Philippines, Cagayan de Oro branch. And I love my job since dealing with customers has always been my passion because it's a very challenging job. Pleasing the customer with a hospitable approach in helping them with their queries, and generate revenue for the organization. This can be done by acquiring excellent communication skills and of course your knowledge in whatever product you are selling. Retaining the existing customers by building rapport and providing customer satisfaction. I/we attract potential clients or customers by displaying and selling the products and services offered by the organization not just online, but also in the public places which needs effective salesmanship and building a genuine rapport with the potential clients.
Listening to the consumer query with patience and empathy, and to not let work pressure reflect on the way you deal with the clients is for me the most challenging part. Dealing with all kinds of customers with different walks of life mostly those who may be disappointed with the services of the company and many customers will be irate or angry, and as a customer service representative I will have to deal with them very politely and patiently and directing the customer to the right person in-charge (a supervisor or manager), if handling the query is beyond my authority just to make sure the solution is attained immediately and provide timely solutions of the customer queries, and ensure that the problem does not occur again if possible and solution to the customer's query will have to be brought to the forefront as quickly as possible, and this means that the job could be hectic, under pressure which requires a multitasking skills and quick thinking.
In my field of profession, I have developed so many skills which I know would be my best assets in applying in your good company.
I have a very good communication skills, being able to understand, interpret, and respond to the consumer query in a timely and appropriate manner.
I am a computer Literate, which is the basic requirements as a customer service representative, one needs to keep a record of all the transactions that takes place with the clients. Various software are used for this purpose; which is why it is important to have the aptitude to learn and work with computer software and database, MS word, excel, power point and a lot more. I have a very good typing speed and computer navigation skills, Ability to multitask with Professionalism since my job as customer service representative can be pressurizing when it comes to dealing with a number of customer queries one after the other, or, at the same time. If the job includes team-oriented targets to achieve, say a specific number of sales to make on a given day, then it becomes essential for one to possess multitasking skills, and to handle the pressure professionally.
I am very friendly, cheerful, flexible, respectable and a lot of patience kind of person, and I know it's definitely an add-on for my career growth in this kind of field. A customer service representative is the direct link between the organization and the client and because customer service representatives are dealing with individuals, a cheerful and friendly and respectable attitude will definitely help build rapport with the clients.
I also have an excellent Convincing Skills, which makes me one of the top 5 customer service representatives for two consecutive years during that time. Convincing skills are absolutely essential to keep customers loyal to the organization/company. Convincing is an art, and you need to do it without being obvious. For those who don't possess this skill, it clearly shows that they try really hard to "force" the customers to listen to them, and eventually end up losing on sales, and I know I am a big fit for the position I am applying.
I graduated at Xavier University, Ateneo de Cagayan University with a degree AB- International Studies 2001-2005.
