As a Senior Staff in Pulmonary department, my task involves supervising volunteer and trainees and to orient them on basic machine use and function. Delegate task and responsibilities on areas and patients assigned to them.
Part of my responsibility is to manage staff and trainees and ensure that quality of service and
utmost standard is met
in dealing
with significant person, patient and Physician and colleagues as well as to examine and run machine equipments regularly to guarantee
its condition,availability and safe to use.
it is our duty to provide care and treatment to patients suffering from medical conditions that affect the lungs and respiratory system.Providing assistance and working
with Pulmonary Medical Doctors in preventing and treating conditions such as asthma, emphysema, respiratory failure, cystic fibrosis, tuberculosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer.
I worked for two

SUCCOUR HOSPITAL, CEBU CITY-PHILIPPINES
under BAGA Inc.My
duty includes nebulization of patients as well.Further on, I have gained experience in administering oxygen using oxygen tanks, portable oxygen , piped in oxygen and oxygen concentrators
for home care treatments. We also
set up
mechanical ventilation equipment , particularly the Puritan and Bennet 7200 and 760
series brand of
Mechanical Ventilator. We also use the brand Vela, while we utilize Newport
brand
and Infant star for Neonates.
Also, part of our obligation is
to provide and connect Thoracic pump,
suction machines , Oxygen Concentrator, set up and utilize cardio pulmonary equipment or machines like cardiac monitor and pulse oximeter which is needed to assist or monitor the patients breathing.
For those who prefer home care services , we provide education to patients and families on how to use the machines attached to the patient and how to manage respiratory conditions and the necessary follow-up care to promote and
maintain a healthy pulmonary system and prevent adverse respiratory conditions.
