I have been a Virtual Assistant since 2012, beginning my remote career on the online freelancing platform oDesk (now Upwork). Over the years, I have worked my way through progressively more complex and responsibility-driven roles, developing a strong foundation in remote operations, documentation, client communication, and process-driven work.
I started as an SEO content writer for a Jamaican client, producing at least one article daily while strictly following SEO templates and editorial guidelines. This early role instilled discipline in meeting deadlines, following structured instructions, and maintaining consistent quality.
After about a year of part-time writing, I was introduced to Mr. Raymund Bolanos, founder of RB-JCS Services Unlimited, a Filipino professional based in Australia serving Australian and Asian clients. Through his Philippine-based project manager, I was entrusted with several long-term projects over roughly a year. These included:
Image Data Processing (IDP) for the Australian real estate platform Oneflare, where I created structured image descriptions for property listings
Business snippets writing for various Australian online businesses
Korean business letter drafting, requiring accuracy, tone sensitivity, and confidentiality
These projects strengthened my attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and ability to work within clearly defined systems.
I later worked on a Social Media Marketing campaign serving New York?based clients, primarily fine-dining restaurants in the heart of New York City. Acting as a remote social media manager, I helped create content-rich, audience-specific, and time-appropriate posts, managed posting schedules, and handled account activity. The objective was to attract new customers, retain repeat patrons, and drive foot traffic to physical locations?an experience that sharpened my client-facing communication and brand management skills.
Another major engagement involved keyword segmentation and data classification for a U.S. software campaign (PC Helper 360). This was a high-volume, quota-driven data entry project in which I segmented and categorized large volumes of user keywords for Google AdWords targeting. I worked full-time hours, often logging 60?80 hours per week to meet strict quotas, making this both the longest and highest-paying project I handled. This role reinforced my ability to perform accurately under pressure and manage repetitive, detail-intensive tasks at scale.
I also supported a Kansas-based chiropractic client participating in the Amazing Selling Machine (ASM) Amazon program. In this role, I worked hands-on with advanced and proprietary marketing tools such as ASM Ranker, AWeber, Leadpages, WordPress, Leadlock, Azon Optimizer, and the Amazon Seller interface. This experience exposed me to complex systems, premium software, and highly structured workflows, further strengthening my technical adaptability.
In 2018, I also worked as an Online ESL Teacher with ACADSOC, delivering structured English lessons to Chinese students in a fully remote environment. This role required clear spoken English, real-time communication, accurate scheduling, and meticulous record-keeping, and it significantly improved my confidence and professionalism in live communication.
From 2018 to 2019, I worked with OrangeBanana Software Limited (UK) as an Online Marketing Manager, supporting marketing and administrative initiatives through data entry, reporting, documentation, and remote coordination. I maintained organized schedules, correspondence, and digital materials, reinforcing my operational and organizational skill set in a distributed team environment.
From October 2019 to April 2020, I served as an Online Executive Virtual Assistant for Big Apple Art Gallery & Framing (New York, USA). In this role, I worked directly with a U.S.-based business owner, managing administrative operations, handling U.S. client communications, coordinating recruitment and interview processes, and maintaining operational records. This position strengthened my familiarity with U.S. business culture, time zones, and professional communication standards.
Alongside my freelance work, I gained experience in the BPO industry, serving as an Outbound Customer Service Representative / Stock Transfer Agent with Alorica, handling accounts for BNY Mellon Financial Services. This role involved outbound calls, strict compliance protocols, and handling sensitive financial information, significantly strengthening my phone skills, attention to detail, and professionalism.
From 2020 onward, I shifted my primary focus toward the legal field while continuing remote work. I completed my Juris Doctor (Law Degree) in 2024, which strengthened my capabilities in legal research and writing, contract analysis, issue spotting, ethics, civil procedure, and deadline management. Since then, my professional work has increasingly centered on legal administrative support, client intake, template-based drafting, contract review (support level), case file management, and U.S.-focused legal workflows for law firms and professional services teams.
Most recently, from November 2022 to May 2024, I worked as a Part-Time Financial Advisor with Pru Life UK (Philippines). In this role, I handled regulated client documentation, contracts, disclosures, compliance records, and client consultations, conducted structured intake and follow-ups, and coordinated records in accordance with Insurance Commission requirements. I was on track for promotion to Unit Manager, but chose to step away during my final year of law school to fully comply with academic and bar-related requirements.
Today, I bring together over a decade of remote work experience, formal legal education, strong client-facing communication skills, and a disciplined, process-oriented mindset. I am comfortable working full-time or part-time, aligning with U.S. business hours, and supporting legal and professional services teams that value accuracy, confidentiality, reliability, and consistent execution.
