I am a registered nurse by profession but I have been writing and editing essays since I was in high school so I am proficient in the English language both in US and UK orientation. I am a competent writer with a year's experience in copy editing. I used to copyedit books as a subcontractor for Lippincott, Williams, and Wilkins; Springer; and Taylor and Francis - all big publishing houses in the US. My responsibilities included copyediting of books/articles/manuscripts which includes but is not limited to sentence and paragraph structure, grammar, punctuation, consistency, subject-verb agreement, use of articles, and editing of tables and figures. I am very meticulous and particular when it comes to grammar and content. I can edit manuscripts and articles and structure it in such a way that what you are trying to say will be conveyed to your readers easily. I also have experience in customer service so I can perform administrative support tasks and data transcription. I am also a responsible multitasker and I have excellent proficiency in MS Office applications. Organization is one of my skill - I schedule everything I do but I am also flexible. I am a foodie at heart and I love to cook. I am up-to-date with general information because I browse the internet everyday and I am fond of reading Reader's Digest. I work in an efficient pace but with excellent results and I make sure to meet client deadlines.
