I started writing when I was 6. I usually write stories only for my family members and I believe this has helped me hone my skills in writing as I grew up. When I started going to school, I made up my mind that writing is my passion. I am more of a creative writer, I love to write short stories and poems but I also ventured into technical writing like news writing and feature writing. From elementary to high school, I was a representative of our school in different journalism contests and I have brought home the bacon a number of times I graduated high school without being beaten in our school's poetry writing contest and my essays were also well appreciated by my educators.
In college, I took up Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of the Philippines Visayas Miagao Campus with Advertising as my major and Broadcasting as my minor. There, I was introduced more into writing scripts for television shows, short films, and the like. We were also trained to critic films thus I can say that I have an eye for even the tiniest details. We were also exposed to intensive researching before writing anything as a real media practioner should do. I have learned a lot from the university but what I can be most proud of is that we were never spoon fed there. We were taught that we must be practical and know how to manage everything with grace even under pressure.
