Internet Browsing / Research:
I do a lot of research on the web, specifically on the suitability of a product in relation to a particular application. I used to be a control system specialist and an electrical systems engineer in an industrial manufacturing plant. One of my responsibilities was to provide solutions to recurring equipment or control system problems. Most often this involves replacement of some parts with better ones. About 90% of the time I found these replacement or alternative parts in the web.
Technical Writing:
I also do technical writing where I prepare reports with technical content for management circulation. These reports could be improvement studies on a particular manufacturing plant process, event report, or status of an on-going activity.
Encoding / Data Entry:
With all these activities in my work, I have gained experience and learned word processor and spreadsheet applications. Thus, I can do encoding and formatting documents in MS Word and MS Excel; and that includes proof reading as well.
Others:
I like to learn new things, technologies, and skills and I'm a fast learner. There are things that I love to do which are internet-related like web page development and programming but I don't have the educational background to do it. I'll be willing to do this kind of job if given support. The only programming skills I know are in industrial controllers such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI (Human Machine Interface).
I am independent and can work alone with minimum supervision. From my experience, I do a lot of troubleshooting technical problems and will not give-up until it is resolved. I am focused on any work that comes my way, goal oriented and get things done the least possible time.
