I have worked as a customer service and sales representative for six years for two different companies in the past. It was a turning point where I managed to develop my communications skills. I also have worked from home as a telemarketer where I proactively contact the list of phone numbers given by the client that's called "leads", collect emails from the lead and set an appointment for the lead to get contacted by the sales department. We also provide initial information regarding the company programs and most especially the benefits of it. We make sure to utilize the scripted conversation to to the customer and adjust based on the tone of the conversation.
Based on my experiences working from an office or from home, I can be at my best especially if it requires both customer service and telemarketing skills.
