I have two degrees: a bachelor's degree in nursing; and a post-graduate studies diploma in professional education. I was often an editor for our school papers in highschool and college. I attended various seminars and trainings regarding writing, editing, and laying out designs.I had won some writing contests too.
I previously worked for a large Georgia-based BPO for almost three years. With regards to my professions, I have worked as a staff nursed at the NICU of a local tertiary hospital. I had also managed a medical laboratory in the past, and took care of pretty much everything that concerned the business - the lab's papers, mission and vision statement, the organizational chart, services and their prices, to the purchasing of items, hiring, computation of wages, and so on. I have recently let go of my work as a quality assurance/sales confirmation/retention specialist for another US company that provides medical equipment, in order to focus more on home-based jobs.
For many years too, I struggled and succeeded at my small food business. I love to cook, so I went into the catering business. I also provided chocolate fountains for parties. I have quite the business tactics.
Though English is not my native language, I speak it pretty well. I have a good grip of not just the technicalities of the language itself, but also the culture, the slang, the attitudes or ways of delivering ideas in English.
To sum it all up, my skills are:
-article writing (any topic, with expertise in health/medical topics)
-business letter writing
-product description writing
-essay and speech writing
-transcribing
-customer service
-recruiting (creation of job ads, screening, interviewing, hiring, orientation)
-HR tasks
-data entry
-other VA tasks
