Profile Description

I was a Jr. Programmer in a software development business started out by our college professor.  They took me in for my On-The-Job training then absorbed me as their full-time employee.  My responsibilities included the maintenance of an Accounting Tool called Oasis (addition or modification of reports as requested by the client) and the creation of a Hotel Reservation Tool.  I was groomed to be a "Jedi", hard-coding PHP programming language combined with HTML and MySQL database.

With my desire for independence, this led me to venture away from home and got myself hired by SYKES Asia, Inc.  Here, I started out as a Chat Support Representative for the world's leading buy and sell website.  My typing speed averages between 65 and 75 wpm with very minimal error.

When the company ended the contract with SYKES, I got absorbed by one of the accounts - the global leader of direct selling of innovative, premium products for kitchen and home.  We handle phone, chat and email support to over 2 million independent sales force representatives and their customers.  

I value new tasks assigned to me because I see them as opportunities to enhance knowledge and increase value to my career.  So I take more calls, more chats, more emails and more admin tasks each day while I maintain the quality of my work and the satisfaction of my customers.

My agent performance shortlisted me to be qualified to apply for the trainer post beating the rest of the applicants with my training demo. I put together my own slides, I studied and practiced.

Being a trainer allowed me to be innovative and flexible.  With my programmer background, I created several web-based applications that helped me with my role - 
1.  Online Exam Tool
2.  Online Trainer Evaluation Tool
3.  Online Survey Tool

I continued to consistently get high pass rates for every class I handled because I always "improvise" by making the learning experience of my class better and by coming up with initiatives to target all types of learners.  Every class I handled becomes better, and I produced better agents endorsed to production. 
 
In this role, I appreciated the power of Excel to generate information (I completed Basic and Advanced Excel Training) and to use the same information for Training Needs Analysis.  I have completed all required courses - Basic Training Delivery, Coaching Workshop, TPDM - Training Program Development Methodology.  Every skills that I acquired empowered me to also help Operations develop, improve and execute action plans.

August 2011.  I got recommended to start the back-office account of the largest provider of insurance and wealth management in the States.  I was sent to the U.S. for 2 months to undergo T3 (Train-the-Trainer) and immersion together with 1 Team Leader and 1 Quality Analyst.  This is where I earned my experiences on Data Entry and Back Office Services. 

SYKES recognized my potential to grow, and certified me to be the only Manila South Succession Planning Trainer in the Cebu handling the following  Management Courses: Ron Kaufmann - The Secrets of Superior Service, Components of Effective Call Monitoring, Adult Learning and Training Delivery, 7 Steps of Highly Effective Problem Solving, Time and Stress Management, Conflict Management Workshop, Saying It Right, 10 Choices - Intro to Leadership, Analyze This! and Practical Coach Workshop.

Then the world's largest search engine opened its support services in SYKES, I applied and got in as an Account Supervisor / Executive Assistant Role.  As an Account Supervisor, I have been entrusted to consolidate our account's revenue/expenses/profits reports.  I also participated in developing/auditing policies & procedures, as well as implementing projects and new programs.  

My exposure to Executive Assistant/admin support roles include taking care of all our Business Unit's fund requests, purchases, and liquidation.  I plan corporate events/client visits/meetings, and manage/set appointments on our Center Director's calendars and travels.

I excel on all these roles because I tend to set high goals for myself, making me more flexible and committed to completing all tasks assigned to me.  Dedication and integrity are my strengths - what is important to the organization becomes important to me too. WHAT'S NEXT FOR ME?

I value everything that I learned and the skills that I acquired from the BPO industry... and I would like to know where my professional maturity will take me with my future organization - by transitioning permanently into a home-based employment at the same time maintaining a quality and balanced lifestyle for me and my family.  It would be a great fulfillment if I also become part of the organization's success- virtually! It's going to be the best of both worlds for me!
