ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bengie Uy Maquilang is a graduate of Central Colleges of the Philippines with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Computer Science.
He has just finished The Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) Executive Course in Public Administration majoring Good Governance from the Mindanao Polytechnic State College (MPSC), Cagayan de Oro City.
He has worked as a Technical Staff Support at Premium Agro-Vet Products where he managed the proper documentation of service reports and internet installations.
He also worked as a Graphic Designer who layouted the company’s newspaper and created logos in one of Iligan’s Printing presses.
He has attended various workshops regarding computer electronics like the 2D & 3D AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max and Adobe Photoshop Training Workshop, the Graphic Design Workshop and the Book Illustration and Designer Seminar-Workshop all held at MSU-IIT.
His other skills concerning computers are desktop publishing, photo-editing, graphic designing, lay-outing, brochure designing, network cabling, web-page design and computer trouble-shooting, repair and upgrading.
He is also a licensed professional on encoding as certified by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
In his employment at MSU-IIT, he has gained awards such as the Administrative and Non-Teaching Employees Union (ANTEU) Presidential Merit for 2007-2008 and was recognition as the graphic artist of the 36th MSU-IIT Commencement Program Layout and Design.
He has also been a part of the production of various publications like PAKIGSAYUD (the Official Publication of MSU-IIT-MPC), and GAZETTE (the Official Newsletter of MSU-IIT).
Bengie Uy Maquilang is presently residing in Iligan City and works as an Administrative Assistant III/Graphic Artist of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension (OVCRE) of MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology.
