I enjoy providing phone and email support as this job is purely based on my skills; not how I look. To be able to gain a customer's trust even though they can't see me is something that I am really proud of.
Being a technical support representative has been a challenging job for me because I get to speak with different kinds of people. I learned that not everyone knows everything I'm saying because it's not a matter of what I know, it's how I say it that makes a difference.
Since I've been with this kind of industry for six years now, I feel that the most difficult thing is the communication skills, that's why I make sure to maintain a neutral accent and I am proud to say that I am good at it since I have excellent written and speaking English skills.
I also have basic knowledge about Windows operating systems and MS Office.
I also maintain a positive attitude as it helps in hitting and exceeding my goals. I easily can adapt to change as well, so timezones will not be a problem for me.
Thinking of ways on how I can improve my customer service skills is what creativity means for me. It's ideas that I come up with whenever I am on the phone with a customer. I make sure to listen to what my customers say as it will help me deal with others as well. Implementing those ideas, is what I call "innovation".
I also make sure that I will go above and beyond in assisting my customers. I want my service to become their only choice. And I am proud to say that I do so because of the commendations and emails they send to my manager letting my manager know that they appreciate my service. I guess having a friendly and sweet tone really helps a lot.
I believe that my background of both technical and customer service, will really be of good use to your company. I can also work with minimal supervision. Given the chance, I will make sure to exceed your expectation in providing excellent phone and email support to our customers.
