Profile Description

I have always loved writing. Back in school, I frequently joined writing contests (won a handful too!) and writing organizations. One of my most rewarding achievements in the field of writing was when my piece was chosen for our graduation ceremonies in elementary school. Mine was the only one selected among all the entries submitted by the whole batch. I got to deliver my own speech too! But, you know how it is when you graduate and the "real world" engulfs you. Some stare straight ahead and obstinately follow their dreams, while others get swept into the flow and find themselves, a decade after, in a job they don't enjoy. You may guess which group I belong to. The important thing is, now that I have retired, I am giving myself another opportunity to do what I love best -- writing. Now, isn't that enough reason to hire me? I love to write! And it definitely won't hurt that I'll get paid to do it! Add to this a love for the outdoors, traveling, reading, taking photos and people-watching ... and you get a remarkably spirited writer! Plus, I am, and have always been, a fast and eager learner. Throw anything in my path and I'll almost always stop to scrutinize it.

I am adept in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I like research, I don't recoil from new and unfamiliar things, I don't shrink back from giving my own estimation on different subjects and I enjoy writing about ... anything!

Experience: 10+ years

I quit the corporate scene in 2009 soon after giving birth to my firstborn. Since then, I’ve been doing freelance writing, the bulk of which are children’s stories and article writing for content creation, online marketing, and SEO optimization. I started out my writing career as a children’s story writer before exploring content writing. I’ve ghostwritten numerous stories for children, mostly centering around bedtime routines and stories with morals. I have a couple of clients who turn to me for assistance in making show notes for their podcasts. I’ve also teamed up with numerous individuals and businesses in enhancing their online presence through content writing. The topics I’ve written about include business leadership, decision intelligence, childhood behavior, early education, parenting, home improvements, plants and gardening, weight loss, fitness and wellness, tourism, photography, and many more.

I've handled various administrative tasks as a virtual assistant for various small business. I was in charge of data collection, project management, task delegation, correspondence, etc.
