My strength had always been research and analyzing situations. I am currently working as a team manager for a records retrieval company, which mainly works with law firms for retrieving medical records for deposition and litigation purposes. I had a short stint working as a home based Virtual Legal Assistant for a California law firm that handles auto-insurance claim/case representation. I also worked as a Quality Analyst for a BPO/Call Center company for more than nine years. I've always been able to work with minimal to no supervision since my current and former work are all output based and I'm quiet proud to say that I never once failed to meet my monthly goals - even if I had to go on unplanned leaves or planned vacations.
I'm currently looking for a part time job that is mainly non-voice projects. Projects that are close to legal research and assistance, online research work, remote call evaluations, or data entry would be
My job as a legal assistant was mainly focused on closing auto-insurance claims/cases assigned to me. These are a combination of general office and admin tasks such as opening insurance claims, calling clients, doctors, hospitals, courthouses and insurance companies involved in the accident, negotiating insurance settlement offers and doing follow ups.
My main work focus when I was working as a Quality Assurance Analyst was to listen to recorded calls of the agents and gave evaluation scores based on the accuracy of the information they advised the caller. I was sometimes asked to transcribe and investigate calls when there were disputes about the insurance claims processed.
I was also required to create error trends and statistical reports for the account on a weekly and monthly basis. I mainly used MS Excel for these reports. Most of the time, I directly communicated with our clients about clarifications on certain issues with the account and hosted calibration sessions between the operations team and the clients.
I had experience teaching the English language to Japanese students as well. I mostly helped with daily conversations and helped the students review for their TOIEC or TOEFL
I used to work at the Human Resources department of a company when I was still in college and mostly did general office work, such as filing and typing reports, answering phone calls and advising my supervisor if there were any changes.
I could say that I require minimal supervision when it comes to learning a specific skill or job description because my learning style is a mix between an observer and a doer. I understand how a project or a concept work faster if I put the theory into practice.
I don't like hopping from one company to another as I believe that a person could excel in whichever company they choose as long as they put their best effort in their job. My goal is to be hired for a stable and long term position that will help me to grow as an individual and in turn become an asset into helping the company's business grow as well.
