I am currently a junior programmer for a Japanese company for almost 3 years.
And because I'm working in a Japanese company, I know how to read, write and speak (though not as good as writing) in Japanese.
I have done few technical documents' translations from Japanese-English and vice versa.
I also have background on assisting (not from scratch applications) in application development using Java, J2EE, Xml, Html, Jsp, C#, and VB.
And given the nature of my job I am pleased to inform you that I am a good typist (probably the fastest in the office) with 80-92wpm (standard typist speed is 40-60wpm) and with 85-90% accuracy.
And I am also a good listener as well.
In my current company, we are trained to study Japanese language as we are a Japanese company and majority of our clients are Japanese.
I have also been in Japan for 7months and as a programmer, good listening is key to good communication for a good performance.
