I have been in the call center industry for 2-3 years. It has greatly enhanced my proficiency in the English language and polished my customer service skills. It has also taught me how to multitask and how to be computer savvy. I was also molded to think out of the box (in finding solutions to customers' dilemmas). It helped that I was versatile, a critical thinker, and a fast-learner.
For my recent job in the publishing industry, I brought with me the skills from my previous company. I was able to use those skills mentioned above, plus I was able to gain more skills essential in the
industry. Skills such as proficient data encoding, copyediting, and a few other skills that were useful in the publication process.
