I have work experiences from both government and private sectors (local/international) in my job as a former research assistant / geologist, and presently as a consultant, . I have been
responsible for technical and administrative tasks in supervisory and managerial capacities.
In terms of skills, I have extensive experience in the use of MS Office applications such as Word (45 wpm), Excel
(with formula/graphs) and Powerpoint (used for local and international presentations/lectures with animations/effects, as necessary). I have also handled projects using Microsoft Access, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop (text/photo/graphics editing/enhancement) and Adobe Acrobat (Professional Version). I have worked on the html programming (self-study) of an interactive CD and website used for an international promotional campaign in 2001, although I am not an expert, and more recent programming techniques may now be used for this purpose. These skills I have mentioned have been very useful in the several materials I have done for exhibitions, promotional giveaways, presentations/lectures, CDs and websites,
both in their construction and content writing. Relatedly, I have also extensive experience in handling petroleum database work using Kingdom Suite (1993-2007), Microsoft Access (1993-2007) and Excel. I have also done numerous mapping and digitizing work using Kingdom Suite (1993-2007) and other computer applications in Geology. I have as well co-authored papers on the Petroleum Exploration in the Philippines that have been presented in local and international conventions.
My excellent english speaking, writing and reading skills have been advantageous for me to communicate well with my employers, colleagues, clients, and prospective investors for an efficient, effective and successful execution of tasks at hand.
In terms of project involvements, I worked on the regulatory compliance requirements of ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Philippines’ petroleum exploration project in the Sulu Sea in 2008-2010. Due to the success of this exploration project,
I have been tasked to
prepare a comprehensive document on the exploratory permitting process for prospective petroleum investors. This is intended to form part of a guidebook to be published by the Philippine Department of Energy for those interested to conduct exploratory work in the Philippines.
I was also the focal person/coordinator for the Philippine Energy Contracting Rounds launched in 2005 and 2006, respectively (handled project conceptualization, budget, promotional campaign, giveaways, events management). I was also a member of the Philippine delegation and Technical Working Group/Project Team that worked on the Philippine booth exhibitions for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists Convention and Exhibitions in Australia, France, and the USA; as well as in the World Energy Congress in Argentina and the Word Petroleum Congress and Exploration Promotion Forum in Norway.
