I was an eBay chat and email support for 4 years. I can say I'm pretty well-trained with customer service.
I then trasferred to a home-based BPO as a chat support representative and eventually became a trainer after 2 years. Our clients were car dealerships in the US and Canada. We answer their customers' inquiries, get their information (lead generation) and pass it on to the Manager of the dealership.
I was also an email support representative for Wish.com. It is a shopping site and we answer emails and inquiries from their customers all over the world.
