• Gather all laboratory test results for review prior to issuance of certificate of clearance
• Issue certificate of product clearance for shipment
• Prepare certificate of analysis for submission to clients
• Maintain records of laboratory data and results in the networked LabVantage Laboratory
Information Management System (LV LIMS)
• Monitor product status through the networked Manufacturing Progress (MFGPro) database
These are my responsibilities as a Physical/Chemical laboratory analyst:
Conduct the following physical and chemical analyses on all coconut food products and by-product samples submitted to the laboratory:
• Brix level (Refractometer Method)
• Free fatty acid (Chemical Titration Method)
• Moisture content (Simple Method)
• Oil content ( Soxhlet Extraction Method)
• pH level (using pH meter)
• Residual hydrogen peroxide (using Peroxide test strips)
• Residual sulfites (Pearson Distillation Method)
• Total solids (Drying Method)
• Viscosity (Viscometer)
• Sensory evaluation (Attribute Difference Test)
Conduct boiler water analyses for the following tests:
• Chlorides
• Conductivity
• Sensory evaluation
• Total alkalinity
• Total hardness
Prepare and standardize chemical reagents and indicators
Conduct visual inspection of container vans prior to loading of products during shipment
