Profile Description

I worked in a textbook, magazine, online content publishing for about 10 years. I started off as a proofreader, then as a book editor. My previous position is as a Product Development and Innovation Specialist.
As a proofreader, I made sure that the corrections from an old manuscript were correctly implemented in the latest manuscript. I made sure also that there were no typographical errors. As a book editor, I managed the development of a textbook from the first stage (Manuscript Generation) up to the final stage (Final Manuscript Development). I communicated with all the suppliers (writers, authors, illustrators, layout artists) needed for the development of the book. There were also times were I need to rewrite some parts of the manuscripts. When I was a book editor, the company gave me additional responsibility as a team leader. Being a team leader, I supervised the production of the whole series, not only a single book for a particular Grade/Year level, but for the whole level. As a Product Development and Innovation Specialist, I helped my manager to plan which products should be developed for the coming school year. I also helped in the conceptualization of what innovations should be developed for existing products. I also handled and supervised the production of content for the company's online content.
