Profile Description

My name is Gem Upgrade to see actual info; 41 years of age and is a single female residing in the South of
Metropolitan Manila in the Philippines. I majored in Marketing & Salesmanship and finished my degree in business back in 2006 in a respectable school, also in the south which is San Beda Alabang.

After graduating, immediately, I worked for my family’s treasured business in print-
publication merchandising & took a role in tactical marketing.

Relatively, we were the biggest and most reliable sellers and distributors of US print magazines and newspapers nation-widest, as my late father called it. We mainly focused on subscriptions and carried only several small stores for walk-in customers. The SMe did well until the outbreak hit the Philippines in 2020 directly affecting the print industry. It was the fastest declivity in readership the world has ever known, close to a complete wipe-out of print on this planet. It was firstly felt in the US next, the Philippines which also had a higher readership. Without the presence of my late father, even more, I made a tough decision to fight it out because it was not just our bread-and-butter since back in the day but of course, our employees’. Unfortunately, I had to raise both hands & finally close.

Moreover, I also had several freelance online jobs which were in creative writing; product description writing & research; and real estate cold-calling. I also have taken on a role as an ESL teacher for the Orientals who wanted to speak conversational English.
