Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator with experience in electrical and/or industrial construction to support our tendering and project estimation requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, pricing, reviewing project documentation, and preparing accurate cost estimates for infrastructure, electrical, and industrial construction projects.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in working with Australian construction standards and estimating software.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate project estimates and tender submissions.
Review electrical, industrial, and infrastructure construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations.
Coordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
Assist with estimating documentation, reporting, and cost analysis.
Maintain estimating databases and cost records.
Communicate with internal teams regarding project requirements and scope.
Support tender preparation and project budgeting processes.
Review labour, equipment, and material costs for infrastructure and electrical projects.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Construction Estimator within electrical, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Experience using ConEst estimating software.
Ability to interpret architectural, engineering, and electrical drawings.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately under tight deadlines.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, labour costing, and tendering processes.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting Australian construction projects.
Background in electrical or industrial construction highly preferred.
Experience working on infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with tender documentation and quotation preparation.
Experience collaborating with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Strong understanding of Australian construction and safety standards.
Experience using Bluebeam or similar take-off and estimating software is an advantage.
