Tech VA – Publishing Automation Setup (Remote, Monthly)

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Tech VA with strong Zapier and automation experience to help build and maintain a Publishing Command Center for 60+ book titles. You will integrate Google Drive, AI outputs, and publishing platforms (KDP, Substack, Gumroad, etc.) into a central dashboard.

This is not a one-time contract — it is monthly ongoing work. The right candidate will help us automate gradually, while also supporting manual workflows when needed.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain Zapier workflows (Google Drive, Gmail, publishing platforms)

Assist in setting up a web dashboard (React/Next.js or low-code alternative)

Create automations for file detection, status updates, and campaign triggers

Connect publishing platforms (KDP, Substack, Gumroad, Draft2Digital, IngramSpark)

Implement error alerts and logs (“Switchboard” system)

Document workflows so non-tech VAs can follow procedures

Provide ongoing support and improvements each month

Requirements

Strong experience with Zapier (custom apps and multi-step workflows)

Knowledge of APIs, Google Drive integrations, and webhooks

Familiarity with publishing platforms (KDP, Gumroad, Substack) preferred

Some experience with React/Next.js or similar frontend is a plus

Organized, reliable, and comfortable writing documentation

Good English communication

Compensation

Monthly pay (to be discussed, based on skills & experience)

Long-term stability for the right candidate

Bonus opportunities for early or ahead-of-schedule automation milestones
