Administration Assistant growth oriented Australian Accounting Practice
An opportunity for an ambitious Administration Assistant has arisen in our rapidly expanding Sydney based Chartered Accounting and Business Advisory firm, the DAB Financial Group -
At DAB, we provide the full spectrum of outsourced accounting services, management information, business advisory, technology platform and compliance services to small to medium clients and high net worth individuals.
Due to growth, we are searching for a high potential and personable professional to assist with a broad range of administration tasks to support the firm’s commitment to exemplary levels of customer service.
This is a highly diverse role and would suit a candidate who is proactive, very organised, able to multitask and most importantly work to a deadline.
For clarity, please note that this is not a virtual assistant position.
The Job description will include the following responsibilities:
• Answering and responding to client phone calls with enthusiasm and a willingness to help
• Attend to practice
• Administration backup for the Practice Manager and Office Manager
• Processing of daily ATO mail
• Finalisation and lodgement of client monthly & quarterly Activity Statements.
• Finalisation and lodgement of Income Tax Returns
• Assist with preparation and processing of ASIC documentation
• ATO Communication and liaison
• Compilation of client reports
• Assisting with maintenance of the CRM and workflow management system
• General administration as required to support the firm
• You will need to be available to work to Australian hours and AEST time zone

The successful applicant will report directly to the Australian Practice Manager and be actively supported culturally by a PH based manager and team of local accountants
Skill & experience.
• Prior administration experience, 2-4 years in a financial services firm is essential
• Familiarity with the Handisoft Practice Management platform would be well received although not mandatory
• Excellent English spoken and written skills and engaging phone manner are key
• Must have attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multitask
• Comfortable with and willingness to embrace deadline oriented tasks and responsibilities
• Familiarity with MS Office suite of products, Outlook, Word, Excel etc is a prerequisite
Environment
This is a permanent work from home position.
• To be eligible the successful applicant will need to provide your own IT equipment, internet and other home office requirements.
