Wordpress Web Developer/Designer for Theme

Job Type: Full-time

Required education: Bachelors (Recommended)

Our ideal candidate is knowledgeable in the latest trends and best practices in web design as well as proven web programming skills using HTML5, CSS3, JQuery and PHP primarily within the WordPress content management system. This position is responsible for developing and executing design concepts and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, and must be a problem solver, work as a team and independently. Will begin working on the development of a custom theme.

Skills Required:
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JQuery, and responsive web design
- Proficiency in custom WordPress Theme & Plugin Development (Most important)
- Basic experience with SEO (This is not required. A plus if you have experince with SEO. If you are a good developer but don't have experience in SEO, we can train you.)
- Self-motivated, a problem solver and quickly learn new technology and standards
- Exceptional communications skills

Extra Desired Skills:
- Experience with social media API integration (ie. Twitter, Facebook, etc)
- Keeps supervisor apprised of the status of work through daily/weekly status reports
- Must have the durability, flexibility and absolute ability to manage the work through to completion

Experience:
- A four-year degree in graphic design, web design, or computer programming
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in graphic/web design and development
- Portfolio featuring examples of various Web Design styles
