Hi, I am building a new website, built on WordPress that uses WooCommerce for orders and AffiliateWP for our referral program. It's a new site, not launched yet.
I want every affiliate who sends us a sale to see that conversion in their own Meta
The idea is simple: each affiliate should be able to store a personal Meta Pixel ID in their AffiliateWP profile, and when their referral results in a WooCommerce order, a Purchase event must fire on the thank-you page with that exact ID.
There is currently no plugin or custom code on the site handling Meta Pixels, so this will be built from scratch. You’ll need solid experience with WordPress hooks, WooCommerce order data, and the AffiliateWP API to:
Add a custom field in AffiliateWP affiliate profiles where affiliates can save their Meta Pixel ID.
On checkout success (thank-you page), detect the referring affiliate ID (AffiliateWP already sets the cookie/session).
Look up the affiliate’s stored Pixel ID.
Dynamically inject the correct Meta Pixel Purchase event for that affiliate.
Always fire our master pixel alongside the affiliate’s pixel (dual tracking).
Include standard Purchase parameters:
value (order total)
currency (USD)
event_id (unique per affiliate/order, e.g., aff_1234_56789)
If no Pixel ID is set for the affiliate, just fire the master pixel.
Deliverables:
Custom code (plugin) that hooks into WooCommerce / AffiliateWP.
That ads the ability for affiliates to submit their Pixel ID.
And then whatever needs to work in the checkout to fire that pixel and send data back to Meta.
Documentation: where the code lives, and how to test it.
Skills Required:
WordPress (PHP, hooks/filters)
AffiliateWP experience (preferred)
WooCommerce checkout hooks
Meta/Facebook Pixel integration
Notes:
This is not a one-off tracking script — it must dynamically pull the correct Pixel ID for each affiliate at the
The solution must be scalable to thousands of affiliates (one pixel per thank-you load, not loading all at once)
This would just be a one off job, but will lead to more work if wanted. I will no doubt, need more changes make to the site as I launch, and want to add things to it. I would also like some help styling the site, but for right now, I just want to get the functionality working.
So, let me know if you have any questions, need any more information etc.
Also let me know how long you think it would take to build this, and what the cost would be.
