We are not only looking for a Web Developer to just fill a job. This is opportunity is a stepping stone to joining a cutting edge digital marketing agency and an incredibly talented team.

The position will start at 5 - 10 hours per week and gradually increase to 30 hours per week over a 30 day period as we train you. All possibilities for raises are based on work performance.
This job positing is for an audition. We will be selecting 3-5 candidates to hire for a test project. After seeing your work, we'll choose who to bring on to the team.
Strong experience with WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, and PSD-to-HTML are the only hard "requirements" for this position (we can train you on everything else).

Position Overview
==============
Your will join our web development team as primarily a front-end WordPress developer, converting designs to pixel perfect HTML/CSS. Although the role is primarily front-end work, you must be very comfortable working with WordPress functions, themes, and plugin
+ Create and configure new WordPress sites
+ Convert PSD or Figma designs to pixel-perfect HTML & CSS
+ Use our custom development framework to expedite builds and reduce bloat
+ Extend WordPress functionality by writing custom PHP code and use WordPress core functions, queries, filters, and hooks
+ Add interactive functionality using JavaScript
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix website issues
+ Ensure all websites are mobile friendly and fully responsive
+ Apply designs to other areas of the site without PSD/Figma mock-ups
The requirements of each are listed below:
+ Create and configure new WordPress sites
Create blank WordPress install, or clone a starter site using our server and website management platform. Ensure PHP versions, timezone, memory, and SSL are all properly configured.
+ Convert PSD/Figma to pixel-perfect HTML & CSS
Our designers are exceptionally talented and put a lot of attention and detail to our projects. Your job will be to convert those creative designs into pixel-perfect functional websites. Attention to detail is extremely important to be successful in this
+ Ensure all websites are responsive and mobile friendly
Not all projects will have mobile designs provided by our designers. So, it will be your job to translate desktop designs into great mobile experiences.
+ Apply designs to other aspects of the site
Our designers create the overall creative direction for a project including typography, color palettes, core pages, etc. More simplified pages (such as contact us pages with just a form, or a an opt-in form/pop-up) may not have PSD/Figma designs provided. So, it will be your job to use the designs provided for other areas of the website and create those elements using the creative direction established by our designers.
+ Use our custom development framework to expedite builds and reduce bloat.
We've created a highly versatile and powerful development framework for WordPress that results in super fast-loading sites that are much easier and faster to build. This includes the use of the Oxygen Builder page builder for WordPress. Although you don't need experience with Oxygen, it is looked at as an asset and will give you an advantage over other candidates. Training on both Oxygen and our custom development framework will be provided either way.
+ Extend WordPress with custom PHP
Our team takes on an array of projects, and most projects require some form of customization that requires experience with WordPress core functions, global variables, action hooks, filters, and custom loops. To excel in this role, you'll need to be very comfortable working with WordPress code, reading and understanding WordPress Codex resources, and implementing Codex instructions into functional code.
+ Add interactive functionality using JavaScript
Our custom development framework uses the latest, cutting-edge coding standards - including EcmaScript6 (or ES6). To be successful in this role, you will need to be comfortable writing JavaScript code. Experience writing vanilla JavaScript and/or the use of arrow functions, are considered an asset and will give you an advantage over other candidates. Training will be provided on writing JavaScript using ES6 modules, and the use of arrow functions, still be provided either way.
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix website issues
As part of our development team, you will help support our existing clients by maintaining and fixing issues with their websites. As part of the prices of building a new site, you will also be expected to know how to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot code issues and properly fix them.
