WordPress Developer – Custom Theme + Plugin (ShootProof + YouTube API Integration)

Job Description:
I need a WordPress developer to create a custom theme and plugin for a portfolio site. The site will display galleries through the ShootProof API and include a “Video Intake” feature that uploads videos to YouTube and attaches them to the correct gallery.

Scope of Work:
The theme should be built pixel-perfect from the Figma design with a responsive layout and clean URLs such as /gallery-slug. It also needs to embed a GoHighLevel (GHL) contact form.

The plugin should provide brand settings for logo, colors, fonts, ShootProof API keys, YouTube credentials, and the GHL embed code. It should sync with ShootProof to fetch galleries and albums, allow mapping to slugs, and include a resync button. Photos should display using ShootProof’s displayUrl so the images remain hosted on ShootProof. The plugin should also include a Video Intake feature that allows an MP4 upload in the WordPress admin, automatically uploads the file to YouTube, and saves the YouTube link to the correct gallery so the video shows first. A manual override field to paste a YouTube link should be included. Caching and a “clear and resync” option should also be provided.

Deliverables:
Theme and plugin installed and working on one WordPress subdomain. Loom walkthroughs and a short written guide explaining how to clone the setup for other brands.

Compensation:
Flat rate of 600 USD, one-time, no hourly. Payment will be made after full completion and delivery.

Requirements:
Experience building custom WordPress themes from Figma. Experience creating custom plugins and working with REST APIs. Familiarity with the YouTube API for video uploads. Ability to write clean, maintainable code with clear instructions. Good communication skills. We will use Slack during the project.
