JOB BRIEF

We are looking for a Wordpress Developer to be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of our website. Web developer responsibilities include maintaining and fashioning everything from the home page, landing pages to site layout and function.

We need someone who is flexible and has strong written and verbal English communications skills to join the team. The role is 100% home based / remote with totally flexible working hours, and will suit someone looking for flexibility - 25 to 40 hours a week. Our client has two main areas of business:
- Offers online and face to face cyber security leadership training courses.
- An interactive community of cyber security professionals, with three different levels of membership, Free, Essentials and Premium. Members get access to cyber security related content, including playbooks, sample deliverables, templates, practice aides, guides and checklists.


RESPONSIBILITIES

- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the website
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities


REQUIREMENTS

1. Proven working experience in web development using WordPress
- can set up landing pages with responsive design
- can set up free and premium plugins
- can customize codes and themes
- knowledgeable in WooCommerce and other integrations
- can set up/maintain membership site
- testing and debugging skills
- back-end basics
2. Domain and Web host management
3. Basic knowledge in Email marketing
- familiar in using CRM like ActiveCampaign
- can set up funnel
4. Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
5. Can design (Photoshop) and has publishing (Adobe InDesign) skills (nice-to-have but not required)
6. BS in computer science or a related field
