Web Developer (PHP, WordPress)

We're looking for a **Web Developer** to build, maintain, and enhance modern, high-performing websites and web applications.

This role goes beyond simply updating websites. You'll be responsible for developing custom features, managing hosting environments, optimizing website performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring our websites remain secure, scalable, and user-friendly.

## Key Responsibilities

### Website Development

* Develop and maintain websites using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
* Build custom functionality and features for WordPress websites
* Create responsive, mobile-friendly, and cross-browser compatible web pages
* Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and back-end issues
* Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code

### Front-End Development
* Develop modern user interfaces using frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
* Utilize CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, or Material UI
* Implement responsive design using Flexbox, Grid, and mobile-first approaches
* Optimize front-end performance and ensure accessibility standards (WCAG)
* Use build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or Parcel for asset bundling and optimization

### API Development & Integration
* Design, develop, and consume RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
* Integrate third-party APIs and external services
* Handle authentication methods such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys
* Ensure secure data exchange between front-end and back-end systems
* Test APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or Swagger

### WordPress Development
* Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins
* Manage WordPress installations, updates, and migrations
* Optimize website speed, performance, and security
* Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and external services
* Maintain website backups and recovery procedures

### Database & Server Management
* Design, manage, and optimize MySQL databases
* Configure and maintain cPanel hosting environments
* Manage domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, email hosting, and FTP accounts
* Monitor server performance and troubleshoot hosting-related issues
* Perform website migrations between hosting providers

### Website Optimization
* Improve website loading speed and Core Web Vitals
* Implement SEO best practices from a technical perspective
* Optimize database queries and website performance
* Ensure website accessibility and responsive design standards
* Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and security checks

### Collaboration & Support
* Work closely with designers and marketing teams to implement new website features
* Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, functional web pages
* Provide technical support and resolve website issues promptly
* Document development processes and maintain version control

## Technical Requirements

We're looking for someone with experience in:

* PHP
* MySQL / SQL
* WordPress development
* HTML5
* CSS3
* JavaScript (ES6+)
* Front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular)
* CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS)
* API development (REST, GraphQL)
* API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia)
* cPanel / WHM
* Website hosting and server management
* Domain and DNS configuration
* Website security and performance optimization
* Git or other version control systems

### Nice to Have

* Experience with Elementor or other WordPress page builders
* WooCommerce development and customization
* Laravel or other PHP frameworks
* Node.js and Express.js
* Cloud hosting platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
* CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
* Basic UI/UX understanding
* AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor)
