Senior Full Stack Developer (Distributed Systems &
Computational Modeling)
Role Overview: We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our core
engineering team building a proprietary platform for high-stakes industrial simulations and
capital project optimization. You will be responsible for developing the underlying
framework that manages complex, multi-stage computational pipelines. Your work will
focus on the seamless integration of heavy backend processing with a responsive, datarich
user experience, ensuring the reliable execution of sophisticated resource and design
optimizations.
Technical Requirements
1. Backend & Distributed Systems (Python Core):
• High-Performance Python: Advanced proficiency in Python, specifically utilizing
numerical and scientific libraries for large-scale data manipulation and algorithmic
optimization.
• Asynchronous Architecture: Extensive experience with distributed task queues
(e.g., Celery) to manage long-running, interdependent background processes and
complex workflow signatures.
• Algorithmic Implementation: Strong background in applied mathematics,
including spatial geometry, graph theory, and network flow optimization.
• Data Lifecycle Management: Expertise in managing state across distributed
systems using high-performance caching layers and persistent databases.
2. API & Real-Time Infrastructure:
• Framework Mastery: Deep experience with Python-based web frameworks (e.g.,
Django) for building robust, secure, and scalable API architectures.
• Real-Time Data Streaming: Proficiency in implementing WebSockets or similar
protocols to provide live telemetry and status updates from background engines to
the end-user.
• System Integrity: Experience designing systems that maintain strict data
consistency across multi-step, automated computational workflows.
3. Frontend & Visualization:
• Data-Intensive UIs: Ability to build sophisticated interfaces for managing complex
input parameters and visualizing multi-variable simulation outputs.
• Spatial Visualization: Experience rendering and manipulating 3D geometric entities
(vertices, faces, and polylines) within the browser to provide visual validation of
backend calculations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Bridge the gap between high-level logical planning and low-level computational
execution.
• Optimize the performance of proprietary spatial and geometric algorithms.
• Build the infrastructure that allows users to audit and interact with complex,
automated engineering decisions in real-time.
• Maintain and scale a distributed environment where background tasks must operate
with high reliability and low latency.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related
Engineering field.
• Proven track record of building "Human-in-the-loop" systems where users interact
with complex automated processes.
• Prior experience in fields such as industrial automation, logistics, CAD software
development, or advanced manufacturing simulations.
• Familiarity with mining/energy industries is a plus.
