HeyTruckers is a growing social and professional network tailored to the trucking industry. Our mission is to connect truckers, carriers, brokers, and shippers on a platform where they can network, share insights, and improve logistics efficiency. We are currently built on PHP, and we’re planning to transition the front end to React with a PHP and Node.js backend. Our long-term vision includes utilizing blockchain and AI to enhance transparency, optimize freight management, and streamline user experiences.

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Technical Co-Founder with strong skills in PHP, React, and Node.js to lead the development and scaling of HeyTruckers. As a co-founder, you’ll play a key role in shaping the technology stack and the platform’s future. You’ll be responsible for technical decision-making, feature development, and API integrations essential to our ecosystem. Experience with blockchain, AI, and API integration is a plus, as we aim to incorporate these technologies as we grow.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Platform Development: Transition the current PHP-based platform to a modern React front end with PHP and Node.js backend architecture.
API Integration: Develop and integrate APIs to enhance platform functionality, support load matching, and enable seamless data sharing across users.
Platform Optimization: Build and maintain scalable and efficient code to support HeyTruckers’ growth and user engagement goals.
Implement New Features: Work closely with the founder to build new features that address the trucking industry’s needs and user feedback.
Long-Term Tech Vision: Contribute to strategic decisions around tech stack, scaling, and integrating blockchain and AI to enhance platform capabilities.

Required Skills:
Full-Stack Development: Strong proficiency in PHP, React, and Node.js.
API Development and Integration: Experience with designing, building, and integrating RESTful APIs.
Database Management: Proficient in handling databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
Cloud Infrastructure: Knowledge of cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure to enable platform scalability.
Security Best Practices: Familiarity with web application security and data protection principles.

Preferred Skills:
Blockchain Fundamentals: Basic understanding of blockchain and decentralized technologies for potential future integrations.
AI and Machine Learning: Experience with AI/ML frameworks or concepts that could enhance load matching and predictive features.
UI/UX Design Basics: A foundational understanding of UI/UX principles to support responsive and user-friendly designs.
DevOps Skills: Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes to streamline deployments and improve platform stability.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or PHPUnit for maintaining high-quality code.
