Responsibilities:
• Create and update SolidWorks models and drawings for custom steel doors, shelving, cabinetry, wall panels, and other architectural metal products.
• Translate customer specs, images, and field measurements into shop and sign-off drawings.
• Prepare machining files for laser cutting, tube processing, welding, and hardware installation.
• Collaborate with the Head Engineer to standardize design templates and streamline workflows.
• Support new product development by modeling prototypes and assisting with design iteration.
• Organize and maintain a clean digital file structure with all drawings and revisions.
• Verify part dimensions and tolerances for accurate assembly and installation.
Requirements:
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, and 2D drawings).
• Experience with architectural metalwork, furniture, or door/cabinet fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, sketches, and field measurements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, follow structured processes, and meet deadlines.
• Quiet workspace and a noise-canceling headset.
Preferred (Not Required):
• Experience working with laser tube files (e.g., BLM LT7 or similar).
• Familiarity with U.S. building standards and glazing systems.
• Background in modular design or custom interior product development.
• Understanding of packaging constraints for engineered products.
Compensation and Benefits:
• $1000 per month
• 13th-month pay (prorated in the first year based on time worked)
• Benefits Allowance: Available after 6 months
• Vacation Time: 10 days per year
• Weekends off
Full-time role:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET
