About the Role

Metpure is seeking a dependable Shopify Developer to provide ongoing maintenance, customization, troubleshooting, landing page development, and technical support for our live Shopify store.

This is an execution-focused role responsible for maintaining a stable, high-performing production website. The role includes implementing new features, developing landing pages, maintaining existing functionality, resolving technical issues, and supporting ongoing improvements while ensuring the customer experience, website performance, and conversion rates remain protected.

Your work directly supports customer experience, website performance, marketing execution, and conversion optimization.

You will work closely with the Team Manager and other tea ---------- mbers to execute projects according to company priorities. Success in this role requires strong technical skills, clear communication, accountability, and the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks from start to finish.

Primary Responsibilities

Shopify Theme Development
• Maintain and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON templates.
• Develop and modify custom sections, templates, snippets, and theme functionality.
• Implement requested features and improvements while preserving existing functionality.
• Write clean, organized, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Landing Page Development
• Create, maintain, and optimize landing pages for marketing campaigns, promotions, product launches, and other business initiatives.
• Deliver rapid turnaround on landing page development to support high-volume marketing campaigns, product launches, and other time-sensitive business initiatives.
• Implement approved designs, layouts, and content while maintaining consistency with company branding and user experience standards.
• Ensure all landing pages are mobile responsive, technically sound, optimized for performance, and thoroughly tested before publishing.

Store Maintenance & Support
• Troubleshoot production issues, bugs, and technical problems.
• Identify and resolve theme, app, and integration conflicts.
• Maintain and improve existing store functionality.
• Remove obsolete code, scripts, and unused assets when appropriate.
• Monitor overall theme health and stability.

Store Administration
Support and maintain:
• Product pages
• Collection pages
• Navigation and menus
• Product filters
• Product tags
• Metafields
• Custom templates
• Search and filtering functionality
Organize, maintain, and optimize collections, tags, metafields, templates, and other store data as needed.

Performance & Optimization
• Improve page loading speed where appropriate.
• Optimize theme performance without negatively affecting functionality or conversion rates.
• Ensure mobile responsiveness across all pages.
• Maintain cross-browser compatibility.
• Identify opportunities to improve technical performance and user experience while preserving site stability.

Shopify Integrations
Maintain and troubleshoot Shopify integrations, including:
• Shopify apps
• Shopify Admin API
• Shopify Flow (preferred)
• Third-party integrations
• Custom app configurations

Deployment & Quality Assurance
• Work in development or duplicate themes whenever possible.
• Thoroughly test all changes before publishing.
• Maintain theme backups before major updates.
• Document significant technical changes.
• Deploy carefully to minimize production risk.
• Be prepared to quickly roll back changes if unexpected issues occur.
