Shopify Developer

We are ready to welcome a Shopify Web Developer to join our highly dedicated team of eCommerce professionals. Working closely with our IT and Marketing Team, you will have the skill sets to translate static designs or interactive Figma prototypes into code, using Shopify development tools like Shopify CLI and languages like Liquid, HTML/CSS, JavaScript. You will follow and contribute to our teams’ workflow, project management, and web development best practices.

The successful applicant must:

• Create code that expands the current theme and shop functionalities

• Translate requirements and mock-ups into fully functioning solutions.

• Assisting the marketing team in creating campaigns and discounts via scripts, Theme Settings, and Sections and via other tools/platforms

• Oversee SEO efforts and help the marketing team with technical SEO decisions

• Hunt for bugs and test across major browsers and mobile devices

• Be involved in Shopify’s updates – always on the pulse with what is new!

• Create and maintain API Documentation, training materials, and document system processes as needed.


The ideal candidate will have:

• 1+ years’ experience in front end web development (Liquid, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5/CSS3+) – Ruby, React and/or Node JS experience is a bonus!

• Minimum 1 year experience with Shopify

• Strong semantic HTML skills and technical SEO knowledge

• Great CSS and CSS Pre-processors (SASS) skills

• Strong Javascript knowledge

• An eye for design, attention to detail, and a mindset of continuous improvement

• Ability to correctly estimate and manage tasks

• Ability to follow file structures, code formatting and file naming conventions

• Ability to think creatively and logically to overcome technical limitations and challenges

• A 'can-do' attitude that can be applied to your work, the team around you and the business as a whole

• A strong team focused approach

• Experience with Klaviyo to develop/code custom email templates
