Script Writer & Video Editor

Hi, I'm Jules and I'm looking for a Video Editor & Scriptwriter for a YouTube project I am starting.

I am looking strictly for a editing & writing style according to the reference video above.

If you don't have any YouTube experience, it will be difficult for me to consider you for this position. All platforms are not created equal and do not all require the same skill set.

Project description:

-Workflow will be in Trello
-Communication will be WhatsApp
-Assets will be stored on Google Drive
-You will find 5-10 more relevant bullet points to the video provided to lengthen the video and add more than the original.
-Create great intro/hook. Tease the audience of what’s to come and why they should stay to the end.
-Add a teaser of what is still to come 1x every 6-11 minutes. Minimum 3x per video if only around 30 min video.
-Add visual instructions for the editor throughout the script and mark them in a distinguishable color.
-Write a script for a 30-45 minute YouTube video. Less than 30 mins is not okay. More than 45 minutes would be great. -Aiming for all videos to eventually be at least 1 hour so they’re better for viewing on a TV and not a mobile device.

WHAT’S EXPECTED OF YOU

-Honest & accurate assessment of your skills & work ethic
-Open and honest communication
-Minimum 2 years writing and creating YouTube content.
-Minimum C1 English Level
-Willingness to commit long term if we work well together.
-2-4 scripts weekly in the beginning. In 3-4 weeks, I would like at least 5-7 scripts weekly. I want to have 100 videos up in 90 days.
-Most of the time (85%) you will be provided a script that will need to be re-worked until it is considered 'original' work.
-Ensure nothing infringes on copyright. FAIR USE is used properly. Your script must be obviously different than the example video.
-On-time delivery of quality work
-Communicating any road blocks, as soon as they arise. I’m here to help.
-Reliable computer and internet access.
-This business will grow and I would like you to grow with it. I am looking to build a team, not just hire employees.
-I will need you to advise me of important dates, holidays and customs. I want to treat you fairly and as expected in your culture. For example, Christmas is a big holiday in the United States. As an employee, I would not expect to work on that day. I am ignorant of your culture. Please help me out. :)

VIDEO EDITOR (all of the above plus the following)

-Find all relevant clips, B-roll footage, sound effects, and music
-Ensure nothing infringes on copyright. FAIR USE is used properly. Your video must be obviously different than the example video.
-Videos will need to be 30-45 minutes long to start. Within a month or less, 1 hour or more
-Create captions, chapters and time-stamps
-Smooth and interesting transitions. Nothing jarring or unexpected.
-Must have at least 2 years of YouTube Content Video Editing experience. Preferably some experience with faceless channels.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT OF ME

-Open and honest assessment of my skills and work ethic
-Open and Honest communication
-Dedication to helping you get started and comfortable with me, the tools and expectations
-Clear instructions and deadlines
-Open to fixing things that are difficult or just don’t work. All I ask is you come to me with at least 1 idea to fix it.
-Low to fair pay in the beginning. As more projects are completed, timely raises and bonuses for viral videos will soon follow. The sooner a video goes viral and I can monetize, the sooner you will earn more money! So much of your pay is dependent on you and how good your work is for this niche.

Please DO NOT APPLY IF:
-You do not have any YouTube experience
-You are already employed. While this will be a slow start, in about a month, you will not have the time to work for anyone else.
-You have not been editing for at least 2 years, YouTube script writing for at least 1 year.
-You have not taken OnlineJobs.ph tests indicating English level and also the DISC test. There are numbers I am looking for here. In addition, if you haven't completed these tests, it shouts the question "WHY?" and your level of motivation.
-You are not familiar enough with the English language to make jokes and puns.

This is a serious long-term position. If our partnership works well, I will provide a lot of work. Please add the word 'automation' as the first word in the body of your application. I am looking to build a reliable team, not just hire employees. As the channel is monetized I will add more to your salary. I will not provide monies for specific things like insurance or rice funds, I will however provide enough money for you to purchase these things if you wish. All I am trying to say is, there will be no requirements on how you spend your money, it's yours to spend as you see fit, but my goal is to provide enough so you CAN purchase these things if you wish. In addition, I fully understand applicants may be responding to many job posts, however, your application is the first impression I will receive of you. Slapping a hello, I'm good for this job, and links to your entire portfolio (which I did not ask for) in an email immediately shows me the level of effort you're willing to put in and you are unable to follow directions. When replying, think how you would react to your application if you were the hiring manager. :)
