React Native Developer

We are entering a crucial phase of development, expanding our in-house capabilities to ensure a successful launch and continuous evolution of our apps.

The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated React Native Developer to join our lean, in-house team. This role is pivotal in completing the final stages of the Baby Grow Milestones mobile application (iOS & Android) and ensuring a successful launch. You will be responsible for taking ownership of existing code, implementing remaining features, debugging, and preparing the app for release.


1. Feature Completion: Develop and integrate features for the remaining Milestones as outlined in the project's Business Proposal and Functional Specification Document (FSD). This includes both core functionalities and features essential for the complete app. BACK END and FRONT END.
2. Code Review & Refinement: Review, understand, and refine the existing React Native codebase, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability. Identify and implement necessary improvements or refactors.
3. Bug Fixing & Debugging: Diagnose and resolve reported bugs and technical issues efficiently across the mobile application.
3. API Integration: Ensure seamless integration with the existing backend API for all features.
4. Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough unit and integration testing of developed features. Collaborate with internal QA (or perform self-QA) to ensure a stable, high-quality product.
5. Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for newly implemented features, bug fixes, and any code changes.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Manager and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide progress updates, and ensure timely delivery within established deadlines.
7. Timeline Adherence: Commit to and deliver on strict timelines for milestone completion, ensuring the project moves forward rapidly towards launch.

Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience (3+ years) in React Native mobile application development for both iOS and Android.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React, and React Native.
Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices and responsive design.
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative in a remote environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Experience working on existing codebases and adapting to different coding styles.

Preferred (Bonus Points):
Experience with applications for parents 0-3 years old and USA/ Europe/ Canada market
Familiarity with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP) and database concepts.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with agile development methodologies.
