RESPONSIBILITIES
We seek a self-motivated and experienced part-time, senior WordPress developer to support Tempesta Media’s web efforts and our diverse portfolio of clients. This is a hands-on role that focuses on the following areas:

• WordPress and Elementor website creation, modification and management
• Siteground hosting management in the context of WordPress-powered websites

This part-time position requires full-cycle website development, QA and optimization.

Specific responsibilities include the following:

• Set up new WordPress/Elementor website environment on Siteground, including spinning up new website/staging, installing WordPress, Elementor plugins, caching and themes/designs.
• Establish automated website backup schedule.
• Implement server and site security best practices.
• Implement new website design, including UI from Figma and other files delivered by creative team.
• Implement website functionality or changes/optimizations, including forms, UX, content and SEO/AEO, as directed.
• Coordinate testing with project manager including unit and acceptance testing, and code documentation.
• Participate in regular tea ---------- etings, providing insights and recommendations.

SKILLS
• A strong foundation in web development and an educational background with a related degree is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of WordPress development experience is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on Elementor experience is required.
• An excellent foundation in front-end and back-end web development, including PHP, WordPress, DB (MySQL, MariaDB), JavaScript, and API integrations.
• Experience developing and optimizing WordPress plugins and themes.
• Ability to professionally communicate with all levels of users, both orally and in writing.
• Full website development lifecycle experience – from server setup all the way through to final testing, release and management.
• Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4.
• Experience converting Figma and PSD files to web pages.
• Experience implementing SEO and content optimization techniques in web pages at the direction of seasoned internal subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Loves learning new technology, approaches, and methodologies.

This part-time position is expected to be 40 – 50 hours per month with flexibility on working time. We work by deadlines. You must be able to attend a weekly call at 10 AM CST (-06:00 GMT) on Mondays.
