OPERATIONS MANAGER (REMOTE)
Company: Clean Bro / CB Facility Services
Reports to: Dalton Daughtrey and Amber Daughtrey
Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM U.S. Eastern. Some projects run into the evenings and weekends, and I need you reachable when they do.
Pay: $8 to $12 per hour USD. I'd rather be straight with you about the range up front than waste your time. Most people will start toward the lower end and move up as they prove themselves out, and that happens faster here than most places.
READ THIS PART FIRST
I'm going to be candid with you, because it will save us both time.
This is not a job where I hand you a checklist and you work down it. This is a job where I hand you a problem and you come back with it solved. If you need someone checking in on you three times a day, we are not a fit, and that's okay. Zero hard feelings.
One note on the title before you go further. Do not read "manager" as a desk job. This is a doer role. You will be in the spreadsheets, on the phone, and in the weeds yourself. You'll direct crews and team leads, sure, but nobody is doing the work and handing it up to you. If you're looking to oversee instead of execute, this isn't it, and I'd rather you know that now than three weeks in.
But if you are the kind of person who reads a message once, figures out what's actually being asked, picks up the phone, and closes the loop before I have to ask twice, keep reading. You're going to like it here.
WHO WE ARE
We're a commercial janitorial and facility services company out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. We run cleaning crews across retail chains, federal and municipal buildings, campus housing turnovers, and residential accounts in multiple states. We're growing fast and we bid new work constantly.
That means the work is real, it moves quick, and there's a lot of it. Good problem to have.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
You'll run day to day operations alongside me and Amber. On any given week, that looks like:
Recruiting cleaners and subcontractors. Sourcing local independent cleaners through
Interviewing and onboarding. Running first-round interviews, walking people through pay expectations up front, and getting background checks, fingerprinting, W-9s, and signed paperwork done before anyone's start date.
Route and crew tracking. Owning the master sheet of every route, every team lead, every crew member, and who's covering what. Keeping it current without being asked.
Client follow-up. When an account has a service issue, you gather the details, document them, and get it in front of the right person with a recommended fix.
Vendor quotes and bids. Calling vendors for pricing on floor care, carpet, supplies, and anything else we need sourced.
Government contract monitoring. Watching
Building the systems. Spreadsheets, trackers, fillable PDFs, checklists. If a process is living in somebody's head, your job is to get it out of their head and into a document.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
Somebody who does the work rather than routes it around. You take a project, carry it to the finish line, and tell me where it stands before I have to ask. When you hit something you've never seen before, you figure it out and then tell me how you handled it.
A lot of this job is picking up the phone and calling people who weren't expecting your call. If that makes you uncomfortable, this isn't the role. Your English needs to hold up in a real conversation, because you'll be on the phone with U.S. clients, applicants, and government contacts.
Detail matters more here than most places. Missed details in this business cost us contracts, so I need you catching them, not creating them. I also need somebody who builds instead of patches. If you solve the same problem twice, I want the third time to be a template, a tracker, or an SOP.
And I'm hiring for the long haul. I'm not looking to fill a seat for six months. I want somebody hungry who grows into more as we scale.
Prior experience in cleaning, facilities, staffing, or recruiting helps, but it isn't required. Judgment and follow-through matter more to me than industry background.
ABOUT AI, SINCE THIS IS THE PART MOST PEOPLE GET WRONG
I want you using AI every single day. I use it every single day. It's how a small team covers a lot of ground, and if you're not using it, you're going to fall behind the people who are.
But here's where I'll be direct with you. AI is a first draft, not a finished product. I don't want output pasted straight from a chat window into a client
Truth be told, that's the whole difference between somebody worth hiring right now and somebody who isn't.
WHAT THIS JOB IS NOT
Just a heads up on the honest version, so nobody's surprised. This isn't a role where you wait to be told what to do, and it isn't one where "I sent them a message and never heard back" counts as an answer. It isn't forty quiet hours either. Some weeks are heavy and some weekends have work in them.
It's also not a job where creating more work for me is acceptable. My whole reason for hiring is to buy back my time. That includes forwarding me something AI wrote and letting me be the one who finds the errors in it.
HOW TO APPLY
Email
1. Your resume.
2. A one-minute video introducing yourself. Don't read it off a script and don't have AI write it for you. I want to hear how you actually talk and think on your feet. One minute, that's it.

So use AI if it helps you organize your thoughts. Then make it sound like you. Mention something specific from this posting so I know you read it.
If this sounds like you, I'd love to talk. If it doesn't, no worries at all, and I appreciate you reading this far. Either way, I hope you have a great rest of your week.
