Lead Full-Stack Developer

World Corp Digital is a growing startup seeking an experienced Lead Full-Stack Developer to maintain and improve our existing business applications and lead the development of new commercial websites and digital platforms.

Until the planned launch and relocation to Panama around March 2027, the successful candidate will work remotely from the Philippines. Initial priorities will include modernizing an existing company website and developing a reusable, scalable marketplace platform with centralized administration and shared dealer and customer portals across multiple brands.

The Lead Full-Stack Developer will report directly to company management and take ownership of the complete development process, from architecture and coding through testing, release, and ongoing maintenance. The successful candidate should be able to understand business requirements, recommend suitable technologies, and turn ideas into reliable and maintainable software.

As the development team grows, the role will expand to include guiding other developers, reviewing their work, establishing engineering standards, and overseeing software quality and delivery.


WORK LOCATION AND RELOCATION

The application process, technical assessment, and interviews will be conducted online. After relocating to Panama around March 2027, the successful candidate will work from a company office.

The company will sponsor the required work authorization and immigration process. The specific city, housing, and relocation arrangements will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates during the initial interview and before the technical assessment.

EMPLOYMENT AND COMPENSATION

This is a full-time, stable, long-term position reporting directly to company management.
The proposed compensation and relocation package includes:

* USD $3,000 monthly base compensation
* Company-provided two-bedroom apartment
* Company-paid electricity and basic utilities

* Transportation allowance
* One company-paid round-trip flight to the Philippines each year

The employee will generally be responsible for their own food and personal expenses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lead Full-Stack Developer will generally be responsible for:

* Working with management to understand business requirements, priorities, and long-term objectives.
* Turning business ideas into clear software requirements and practical development plans.
* Reviewing, maintaining, and improving existing applications.
* Recommending suitable technologies, architecture, databases, hosting environments, and development structures.
* Designing and building complete software applications from concept through release.
* Developing frontend, backend, customer, dealer, and administrative functionality.
* Connecting applications with databases, APIs, authentication systems, external services, and business systems.
* Writing clean, secure, maintainable, and well-structured code.
* Testing, releasing, monitoring, and troubleshooting software in production.
* Identifying technical risks, security weaknesses, performance problems, and incomplete workflows.
* Maintaining documentation and helping establish consistent engineering, security, testing, and quality standards.
* Providing management with realistic estimates, clear recommendations, and early warnings about risks or delays.
* Taking ownership of assigned products and following work through to a verified result.

The balance of frontend, backend, database, architecture, integration, and infrastructure work will depend on the requirements of each product.


TECHNOLOGY AND ARCHITECTURE APPROACH

The Lead Full-Stack Developer will be expected to review our requirements and existing systems, evaluate the available options, and recommend an appropriate architecture, development framework, database, search solution, hosting environment, and deployment structure.

Technical recommendations should consider:

* Product requirements, expected users, and scale
* Security and data protection
* Development time, complexity, and operating costs
* Performance and reliability
* Maintainability and long-term support
* Integration requirements and vendor dependence
* Ease of transferring the system to another qualified developer

Applicants may specialize in particular technologies, but they should have enough breadth and technical judgment to recommend solutions based on the needs of each product rather than automatically using the same framework for every project.


AI-ASSISTED DEVELOPMENT

World Corp Digital uses modern AI-assisted development tools and expects the Lead Full-Stack Developer to use them responsibly.

Experience with tools such as Codex, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, v0, or similar platforms is valuable.

The successful candidate should be able to:

* Use AI to support research, planning, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
* Give AI tools clear and effective technical instructions.
* Critically review and verify AI-generated code.
* Identify and correct insecure, incomplete, fabricated, or unnecessarily complicated output.
* Understand and explain all code they approve.
* Make independent technical decisions when an AI recommendation is unsuitable.
* Take full professional responsibility for the final result.

We are looking for a Lead Full-Stack Developer with a strong programming foundation who can use AI to improve productivity without sacrificing security, maintainability, or software quality.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have at least 5 years of professional software development experience, including substantial recent experience writing, reviewing, testing, and maintaining production code.

Applicants should also have:

* Strong practical experience building and maintaining production software applications.
* Experience taking a software product from requirements through development, testing, release, and maintenance.
* The ability to work across frontend and backend development.
* A sound understanding of application and system architecture.
* Experience with databases, APIs, authentication, integrations, and cloud-hosted applications.
* Strong debugging, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
* An understanding of software security, data protection, access control, and safe development practices.
* Experience testing software and verifying its behavior before release.
* Experience maintaining or improving software built by another developer.
* Familiarity with professional source control and collaborative development practices.
* The ability to write readable, maintainable, and appropriately documented code.
* The ability to communicate technical matters clearly in written and spoken English.
* The ability to work independently, manage priorities responsibly, and maintain reliable communication.
* The willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies when they are the best choice for a product.

A university degree is helpful but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability and real production experience are more important.
