We are seeking an experienced mobile app development team (iOS + Android) to build a marketplace platform for athletes and college coaches. The concept is similar to Cameo, but instead of celebrity shoutouts, the platform connects student-athletes with college coaches for direct exposure, evaluations, and feedback.



The goal:



Athletes get guaranteed visibility + responses from real college coaches.
Coaches earn compensation for their time reviewing videos and responding to messages.
The app acts as the trusted middle layer, handling transactions, scheduling, and communication.

User Types





Athlete Profiles (students)
Create personal profile: sport, position, graduation year, highlight videos, GPA, athletic stats.
Upload highlight reels or clips for coach evaluation.
Send messages to selected coaches (paid feature).
Track coach responses + feedback history.

Coach Profiles (college recruiters, verified only)
Verified badge (admin-approved).
List school, division, recruiting needs.
Option to accept or decline athlete requests.
Provide paid responses:
Video evaluation (structured feedback form + optional video response).
Direct message reply.

Search + Discovery
Athletes can browse coaches by sport, school, division, location, or recruiting needs.
Coaches can browse athletes by sport, position, graduation year.

Request Flow (like Cameo)
Athlete selects coach ? chooses “Send a Message” or “Submit Video for Evaluation.”
Price clearly displayed per coach.
Payment processed upfront ? request sent.
Coach responds within defined timeframe (e.g. 7 days).

Transaction Split
Payment flows: Athlete ? App ? Coach (minus platform fee %).
Coaches set their own rates (within min/max guidelines).

Stripe Connect or similar for secure split payments.
Athletes pay per interaction (pay-per-message / pay-per-evaluation).
Future roadmap: monthly membership option for unlimited or discounted requests.

Secure chat (Cameo-style request and response).
Ability to upload and stream video (highlight reel submission, coach response).
Push notifications for new requests, responses, or updates.

Admin Dashboard





Manage + verify coach accounts.
Control pricing ranges, payout percentages.
Analytics: total users, transactions, revenue breakdown.
Ability to resolve disputes or refund transactions.










Design & UX





Look/feel similar to Cameo or Fiverr: clean marketplace design, coach “cards,” easy navigation.
Athlete-facing experience: aspirational, motivating, “get seen now.”
Coach-facing experience: professional, simple, and efficient.
Mobile-first design; responsive web dashboard optional in later phases.










Technical Requirements





Cross-platform (React Native or Flutter preferred).
Scalable backend (Node.js, Firebase, or AWS).
Video hosting + compression (AWS S3, Cloudflare Stream, or Mux).
Secure authentication (email, phone, optional SSO).
Payment integration (Stripe Connect or PayPal Payouts).
