Full-Stack Engineer (React/TypeScript + Node) — Rental Tech Platform

We're Nestra, a rental-tech / lead-generation startup launching in Arizona. We match renters to apartments, book tours, run a soft credit check + background screening, and refer pre-qualified renters to apartment communities for a commission.
Your job is to integrate third-party APIs and ship features, not build from scratch.

Tech stack (must know): React 19 + TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, tRPC, Node/Express, Drizzle ORM with MySQL. Deployed on Vercel, source in a shared GitHub repo (PRs + code review).

What you'll work on:
Integrate a Credit Reporting Service (CRS) API for soft credit pulls
Integrate a tenant background-check provider, including async webhooks
Build a partner portal where apartment communities log in to view leads
Build automated email/SMS notification workflows
Implement a commission-tracking pipeline and consent/audit logging
Must-haves: Strong TypeScript + React; REST/webhook API integration experience; experience deploying via Vercel and working in a shared GitHub repo; clean code habits; good written English for daily async communication.

Bonus: FCRA/credit/background-check or payments APIs, real-estate/proptech, queues/background jobs on serverless.
How we work: We use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) in our workflow. Comfort with AI coding tools is a plus, but strong fundamentals come first.
