Job Title: Full Stack Engineer (Next.js / AI)
Type of Employment: Contract
We're a SaaS and AI development agency building production-grade products for clients. We don't hand-hold. We're looking for someone who leads projects from the front, figures things out, and ships — no waiting around for direction.
What You'll Do
Lead full stack feature development end-to-end in Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, owning the work from first commit to production
Design and own robust API endpoints in REST and tRPC — not just maintaining what's there but thinking through structure and scalability from the start
Architect and integrate AI features using Vercel AI SDK, OpenAI, and Anthropic APIs — thinking about how AI fits into the product at a systems level, not just plugging in libraries
Build and maintain reusable Tailwind component libraries that the rest of the product depends on
Fully own the backend — database design, server architecture, performance, and security are your responsibility end-to-end
Build CI/CD pipelines from scratch via GitHub Actions and Vercel, handle rollbacks, manage environments, and keep deployments clean
Scope your own work, write your own tickets, and drive projects to the finish line without needing to be managed
Who You Are
5–7+ years shipping production SaaS and AI-powered applications, with real experience building and scaling products people actually use
You don't wait for instructions — you assess the situation, make a decision, and move without needing hand-holding
Deep expertise in Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS — you've owned and scaled real products with these tools, not just side projects
Experienced with AI SDKs and LLM APIs in production environments where things actually have to work, and you understand the difference between a demo and a deployed product
Strong backend fundamentals — you think about architecture, security, and scale from day one, not as an afterthought
Fully own CI/CD from setup to maintenance — pipelines, rollbacks, environments, and deployments are second nature
Highly autonomous, low ego, strong written communicator who thrives in fast-moving, client-facing environments where priorities shift and you're expected to keep up
