Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer

Experienced Full-Stack Developer — Payments & Monetization Platform (Remote)

We're building a monetization platform for creators and digital businesses — payments,
community, marketplace, courses and a members area in one place. At the core of the
product is a proprietary payment gateway/orchestrator, with the other modules orbiting
around it.

We're in the foundation stage. The base is already in place (built by the founder with
heavy AI assistance), and we're now looking for an experienced full-stack developer to
take over development and, first and foremost, help validate and adjust the
architecture — both now at the start and along the way. You'd be the technical lead for
the project.

What you'll do
• Own development of the MVP through pre-launch (backend + frontend).
• Review, validate and propose adjustments to the current architecture.
• Build and evolve the financial and product modules with discipline and tests.
• Work with heavy AI assistance (Claude/Codex) — your role is to review, judge and
ensure correctness, not just write code.

What we'll build
• Processor-agnostic payment gateway — multiple processors/connected accounts, with
redundancy and routing across them.
• PCI via tokenization (the card never touches our server) + easy-to-integrate embedded
checkouts, with order bumps and upsells.
• Admin panel / control plane — a fully dynamic, configurable system: per-client fees,
processor chosen by rule, plus financial management, compliance and risk.
• Community + marketplace, courses + members area (access gated by purchase).
• Built-in AI for businesses (deep data analysis, assisted documentation) and
multi-language support with AI + human handoff.
• Multi-language transactional emails and advanced analytics.

Engineering core
Double-entry ledger · event sourcing / end-to-end idempotency (no double charges even
with out-of-order webhooks) · multi-tenant with RLS · ports & adapters architecture.

Stack (already being assembled)
Turborepo monorepo · strict TypeScript · Hono · Postgres + Drizzle (versioned
migrations, RLS) · pg-boss · Next.js (App Router) · Better Auth. Login/multi-tenant and
the event store are already up and running.

Who we're looking for
• Solid experience in backend + Postgres/SQL (data modeling, transactions, RLS).
• TypeScript and a systems-engineer mindset (thinks about failure, concurrency, scale)
— not just "make it work".
• Comfortable with async, idempotency and queues.
• Autonomy to drive the project and a strong sense of technical ownership.
• Strong plus: experience with payments/fintech (PSPs, gateways, ledgers, webhooks,
accounting).

How we work & priorities
We prioritize speed, stability and a foundation ready to scale — with a lean stack, no
over-engineering, but aware the project is big from day one. Doc-first, versioned
migrations, no silent defaults. The plan is to move steadily: ship an MVP, use our own
checkout inside our own structure to test it, and grow from there. The roadmap has
features still to be mapped (e.g. crypto smart contracts and banking-as-a-service).

Logistics
• Remote. Team based in Brazil (GMT-3) — time zones usually aren't a problem, but let
us know the hours you're generally available.
• Medium/long term, with occasional support along the way; closer to launch we'll
assess what else is needed.
