You’ll work directly with the company to build, improve, and maintain web and mobile applications. These include SaaS products, ecommerce, elearning, and internal business tools.
* Build and improve web and mobile apps using React, Next.js, TypeScript, React Native, and Expo
* Turn ideas and requirements into working features
* Use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex to work efficiently
* Debug issues across the frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and deployments
* Integrate third-party services and improve existing codebases
* Test, deploy, and document completed work
* Provide clear updates on progress, blockers, and next steps
# What We're Looking For
We are looking for a dependable, product-minded developer who knows how to use AI to move quickly while still maintaining strong software-engineering standards.
* Strong experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
* Experience with React Native or Expo is preferred
* Experience shipping mobile apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store is preferred
* Comfortable using AI coding tools without relying on them blindly
* Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
* Able to work independently and take ownership of projects
* Familiar with GitHub, APIs, databases, and cloud deployments
* Detail-oriented and focused on shipping complete, production-ready work
* Strong English communication skills, and working time overlap with 8a - 11a PST (Vancouver)
# Other Details
* $6 USD per hour, approximately 40 hours per week ($240 USD/week), paid weekly. This is a long-term independent contractor position.
* 40 hours per week expected
* This role requires consistent full-time availability and focused attention during working hours. It is not suitable for someone simultaneously working multiple full-time jobs.
* Required availability for a daily meeting and work overlap from 8:00–11:00 a.m. Pacific Time
* Remaining working hours are flexible
* Daily written progress reports are required
* Work hours and tasks will be tracked
* Development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex will be reimbursed
* The hiring process may include a paid trial project
